Church on the Move Update
Last week was a big week. First, two thirds of the parking lot in was completed. Can I get an “Amen?” This was huge! To quote Mike, “We dodged a bullet.” This Monday the pavers painted the parking places in. Secondly, our lawyer informed us we received a verbal agreement from the city to begin construction of our colored LED sign on 7 Hwy. We’ve been working on this for three months! (Can I have a “Hallelujah?”) We also received the green light to put up bill boards on the signs on the very south side of our property which parallels the outer road and more importantly I-70. (This is potentially a revenue producer.) Thirdly, we received approval to start sheet rocking the offices and bathrooms!” The sheet rock has been delivered and the crew has begun throwing up rock! Can I have a “Praise God!” Finally, Reynold & Jeff are putting the finishing touches on the A/V for the worship area ... lights, camera, action! Very Cool! Mike is doing a great job. I ask that you continue to pray for him. He informed me this morning that the rest of the windows that line 7 Hwy will be put in, which will continue to improve the look of the site. We will begin purchasing furniture and A/V equipment starting next week. You have no idea how much time and energy has been put into things to ensure we have the best equipment at the lowest prices we can find. Carolyn has been very busy tracking expenditures, paying bills, and working with members of the Development Team to not only bring the building to completion, but work out a budget plan for next year. There are many, MANY heroes that I don’t have space to mention. Thank you for all your help. It is greatly appreciated!!! On the rental side, not much has changed. We are still waiting on a response from Dunkin Donuts for the pad site. We are also waiting on interested parties renting the front part of our building. We are hopeful that as the front of the property goes through its’ radical face lift, it will create a lot more positive intrigue and interest.
So, how can you help?
1) Pray for this project.
2) Encourage those folks who are expending a lot of energy making this project happen.
3) Check your emails for posts of volunteer opportunities or contact Debbie directly.
4) Be positive. Talk up what is happening at the new site with your friends & family. This is a form of pre-evangelism with your friends and family.
